Hey—
The more you glean, the more sensitive you become to divine timing.
Glean = collect gradually and bit by bit
Sensitive = quick to detect or respond to slight changes, signals, or influences.
Timing = a particular point or time when something happens.
Sensitive ≠ Urgent
Urgency, by definition, is (a state or situation) requiring immediate action or attention.
How do you define urgent?
How do you determine if what you’re hearing is from God?
What are you hearing from God?
The more you glean (collect wisdom and understanding bit by bit, by being in God’s presence, the more sensitive you become to His divine timing.)
Urgent to you could be years down the road because God knows you need to glean for your character to be developed for what’s to come. Or sensitive enough to know when to release an idea or work towards it—bit by bit.
Pace = a single step taken at a continuous and consistent speed.
BUT…
If you don’t slow down long enough to glean, we may outrun God or miss the instruction for this season.
Not walking in pace with God prevents several options:
Frustrations from a premature arrival.
No clear goals or strategy
Unrefined character to sustain
Broken relationships
Destiny disruptions instead of divine helpers
No peace
Unnecessary chapters in our story
When you walk in pace with God by trusting him, leaning not onto your own understanding, to glean his wisdom by seeking him (through worship, prayer, fasting, and bible study)…. how can you miss out on his divine timing? Especially when God says he will orchestrate our paths?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
