I get it.
Giving up feels tempting right now. You’re tired, and the weight of life is banging on the front door, demanding to come in. With everything life has handed you—brick after brick on silver-plated platters—throwing in the towel seems like the easiest option.
You just feel blah.
Maybe it’s the season.
Have you stopped to reflect on when you started feeling like you’re merely existing? There’s no stress because you’ve gone numb to everything around you. This is what I call the in-between zone.
It’s that space where you know there’s more for you—more to life, more to achieve, more to experience—but nothing’s moving forward. Yet, it’s not getting worse either. It’s like being stuck in limbo, waiting for something to shift.
That knowing is home—He’s calling you back—Holy Spirit is at work.
It’s right there, in the discomfort sitting heavy in your chest. Breathing feels labored, and your eyes sting with tears that threaten to spill over, but even then, something inside you fights back. Your mental fortitude attempts to kick in every time those intrusive thoughts try to convince you of a false narrative.
Let me remind you:
You are not a failure.
You are not behind.
You are not your mistakes.
You are becoming.
You are in process, learning that the perfecting of your character requires refinement—a process that isn’t always comfortable. I’m not saying to ignore how you feel. It’s important to acknowledge your emotions, but feelings can be unreliable narrators. They’re indicators, not truths. Often, they expose areas God is asking to transform.
This is where He reveals what cannot stay. Maybe you’re noticing yourself acting out of character or responding in ways you thought were healed. Don’t beat yourself up. It’s okay! Acknowledge it and surrender it. Let God help you navigate now that you’re aware. Apologize to anyone you’ve hurt or offended.
Here’s the thing: you have every reason to quit. Which means you also have every reason to keep going.
You’ve come too far to let it all slip away.
Endurance looks good on you.
Even if it doesn’t feel good.
In a few months, the pieces will start to come together. The "why" behind all of this will begin to make sense. You may not understand it now, but God does. He’s guiding you through this transition, even in the frustration it brings. He’s pruning what can’t remain and working in ways you can’t yet see.
So, see it through.
Trust that the God who brought you here hasn’t left you. He’s preparing something greater than you could imagine. And when it all unfolds, you’ll look back and be so glad you didn’t give up.
Endurance isn’t easy. But it’s worth it.
With love,
Janae
