I get it. Living a life you didn't imagine only to realize the "life" was heavily influenced by who people thought you were, who you should be, and what your life should look like "by now." Let me say this emphatically, Janae, your life looks EXACTLY the way YAH (God) wants it to, and it is beautiful.
The platform, the influence, or whatever you thought you did not have...you in fact do. Your writing, over the past couple of years, have impacted me in ways you could not have imagined. To articulate what I have felt but did not have the courage to publicly release or just the energy to, you have done so consistently. To be seen, felt, and known that I'm not the only one on this journey feeling unsuccessful, not enough, and not yet "arrived" through transparency have helped me on my journey. Don't diminish your obedience because it doesn't feel or seem publicly known. Often, it's the private impact and transformation, the inner work, and the intimate and divine work He does that is the greatest.
Your words through Him have immensely helped to heal, reaffirm, and remind me that I am not crazy. I am not behind. I am not alone. I am...following Him in a way that looks different, feels defeating at times, but I am...in His will. So...no...you don't need a physical stage, Janae. You...simply need to keep speaking and keep scribing. Your voice and your words are already the vessels He is using to influence and impact people. You didn't need a mic or a stage...just a willingness to be obedient.
I had to sit with this because wow. You put things in perspective for me over the last nine years that I've been on this journey of showing up daily. The fruit of my obedience is knowing you have been impacted by my willingness to keep going. Thank you so much for your obedience to share this with me as encouragement during these challenging days. I flirt with quitting often, but I don't.
