You’ve been in a season of gathering the containers. How do I know? That is what the discovery phase is. It’s obedience to explore more of what God reveals about himself in us.
We are a reflection of Him. The fullness of his glory manifested in human form—perfected. Although we will never be perfect on this side of heaven, we are on a constant journey of becoming “perfected” to look more like him. God sees us in the fullness of our salvation, not the shortcomings etched into humanity.
We live in a dying, sinful world. To live with Christ is to choose life. (Remember, it’s your choice. You decide.) When we choose life, we enter eternity with the one our soul craves. After all, he created us.
He’s already affirmed you. This is a conversation I am having with myself as I am in this season. So much so that I asked social media the following:
Exhibit A.
After one hour, nobody made a peep. That is odd, considering I asked this question in 2020.
Exhibit B.
One hundred forty-six comments, look at God.
Then it hit me; I don’t need permission to be great. He used my community to affirm me in a season of discovery. He revealed who I was and sent his children to confirm what He already spoke—accountability. Now, three years on the journey forward, He shut those same mouths for me to stand on my own and apply it. Those words are a part of who I am, as I take everything I learned in the last seasons to venture further.
Alright, God. I deleted it.
God has a sense of humor. Right under it is this post.
Exhibit C.

If you read: I feel… it’s unconventional. But it’s the truth. I struggle too, then you will understand even more about how God talks to me in seasons when I refer back to I’m done playing myself… I wrote in May 2021. Seriously, I can’t make this stuff up. Every two years, there is a shift in my business or career.
✿ Many of you want to know how God speaks to you. It’s simple and ongoing. You have to look past your logic and at the patterns of life and emotions unfolding. Do you journal? Do you document things written or in a video to track back to? I only see Him when I look back at how far I’ve come.
Janae, two years ago, wrote for this exact moment. It’s time to apply it.
I’m done playing myself because I don’t need permission to be great. How about you?
Your accountability partner,
Janae Carlee
